About the Journal

Aims and Scope

The Westcliff International Journal of Applied Research (WIJAR), founded in 2017, is a multidisciplinary, double-blind peer-reviewed, open access journal published by the LITE Center from the Office of Faculty Affairs in partnership with the Doctoral Affairs and Academic Resources Department at Westcliff University. There are no publication or article processing charges associated with WIJAR.

WIJAR’s mission is to advance and disseminate scholarship by providing a platform for students, academics and industry professionals to publish research with practical applications and real world impact. The journal welcomes original research in the natural and social sciences, business, humanities, language, education, and other disciplines that contribute meaningfully to scholarly knowledge.

A distinguishing feature of WIJAR is its commitment to supporting authors through the peer and editorial process. Through constructive feedback and editorial guidance, the journal helps contributors produce high-quality, accessible manuscripts for a broad academic and professional audience.

Open Access Statement

WIJAR is an open access journal. All content is freely available without charge to readers or their institutions. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, or otherwise use the full text of published articles for any lawful purpose without requesting prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

Licensing Terms

Westcliff International  Journal of Applied Research publishes under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) License. This license permits others to copy, redistribute, remix, transform and build upon the work published for non-commercial purposes. Authors retain copyright to their work without restrictions.

Plagiarism Statement

Westcliff International Journal of Applied Research publishes only original work and does not accept manuscripts containing plagiarized material. Auhtors are repsonsible for ensuring that all submitted content is original and that all quoted or referenced material is properly cited in accordance with APA 7th edition guidelines.  All submissions are screened using Turnitin before entering the peer review process.

Fees and Charges

Westcliff International Journal of Applied Research does not charge article processing charges (APCs) or publication fees. 

Indexing

Articles published in Westcliff International Journal of Applied Research are available in the Directory of Open Access Journals and are freely available through the journal’s website. WIJAR is indexed in Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar.

Archiving

All articles published by Westcliff International Journal of Applied Research are preserved through Westcliff University’s archiving system. Archived content is available through the WIJAR archive page. (Access must be requested).
